PADI Discover Scuba Diving - Jasmine & Simon

Today Jasmine tried for the first time scuba diving and, her father, Simon, already certified Diver, wanted to go along with her.
The PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) starts with a small explanation about the scuba gear and some basic techniques needed to dive safely. The 1st section of the DSD program is conducted in a swimming pool of São Pedro, situated next to our Booking Office.There, you will learn how to control your buoyancy and, after some turns in the pool with the dive gear, the students are ready to do the 2nd section of this program in the sea. We sailed to São Roque islet, a dive site with 9m of maximum depth.

Underwater Arch, Lava Flows, Wreck and more...

Summer Days with good visibility (20 meters) and water temperature around 22ºC.
The first dive was in Arco do Cavaco (24 meters max.) a rocky dive site with a beautiful underwater arch, lava flows and a great diversity of fish species to observe.  The second dive was in the famous World War II cargo ship - Dori. This artificial reef is a beautiful archaeological site, full of marine life to observe and is suitable for all certified divers (20 meters max.).

Indian Friends Tries Dive For The Frist Time

These friendly Indian friends wanted to do something different during their brief stop in São Miguel Island.
The PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) it's the perfect program for those who are interested in scuba diving but don't have time to do a diving course.  This program starts with a small explanation about the scuba gear and some basic techniques needed to dive safely. The 1st section of the DSD program is conducted in a swimming pool of the beautiful country house - Pico do Refúgio - in the north part of the island. There, you will learn how to control your buoyancy and, after some turns in the pool with the dive gear, the students are ready to do the 2nd section of this program in the sea. We sailed to São Roque islet, a dive site with 9m of maximum depth.
